Great news for teachers across Punjab! The Education Department has just released a series of major updates that will directly benefit teachers and improve their professional growth and well-being. 1️⃣ Teacher Transfers Open from August 22
Teachers who have been waiting for transfers can now apply starting August 22. This will allow educators to move closer to their families and work in a more convenient environment.
2️⃣ Opportunity for Surplus Teachers
Surplus teachers will get another chance to be adjusted so they can continue contributing to the education sector instead of sitting idle.
3️⃣ Mutual Transfers Re-Opened

From January 2026, all teachers holding MA/MSc degrees will be upgraded to Scale 16, which means better pay and recognition for their qualifications.
